MHARS Lorain County

Diversity People Group Team Union Concept

The Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board of Lorain County (ADAS), established in 1989, and the Lorain County Board of Mental Health (LCBMH), established in 1967, combine their knowledge, resources, and illustrious histories to form the Mental Health, Addiction and Recovery Services (MHARS) Board of Lorain County. In July 2019, the MHARS Board was founded.

Recovery is the common objective shared by all who are assisted by the systems for mental health and substance use disorders. Our capacity to coordinate treatment and recovery programs is strengthened by the consolidation of the county’s addiction and mental health organizations. This will enhance the quality of life for both our clients and their families.

The aim is to deliver these health services as efficiently as possible. It entails giving the appropriate care at the appropriate time at the appropriate location.
